Cem-FIL Roving Concrete Reinforcements

Cem-FIL® alkali resistant (AR) glass fibers have been in use for 40 years in more than 100 countries worldwide to create some of the world's most stunning architecture while offering strong and durable performance in widely varying cement and mortar based applications, including floorings, renders, top screeds, tunnels, utility poles, etc.

Cem-FIL® AR glass fibers are unique as a concrete reinforcement. Cem-FIL® fibers have the same specific gravity as the aggregates, so assured fiber dispersion is easier to achieve than with other fibers. Cem-FIL® fiber contributes efficiently to the tensile strength before the concrete is able to crack thanks its high Elastic Modulus, its affinity and its efficient bonding with the concrete.

Cem-FIL® fibers offer superior performance to standard fiber reinforcing with widely varying addition rates designed to meet your specific project specifications.

CEM-FIL® 54 GRC SPRAY ROVING CEM-FIL® 61 - GRC PREMIX AND SPRAY ROVING CEM-FIL® 5325 AR DIRECT ROVING
Description Cem-FIL® 54 is an Alkali Resistant glass fiber assembled roving designed for use in the manufacture of glass fiber reinforced concrete (GRC) composites by the simultaneous spray method Cem-FIL® 61 is an Alkali Resistant glass fiber assembled roving designed for use in the manufacture of glass fiber reinforced concrete (GRC) composites by both premix and simultaneous spray methods. Cem-FIL® 5325 is made from engineered AR-glass wound filament designed to be used with concrete, mortar and all hydraulic binder-based mix-designs. Cem-FIL® 5325 rovings have a high Elastic Modulus and Tensile Strength.

Applications Cem-FIL® 54 is a spray roving with easy processing and incorporation, enabling the production of GRC elements with excellent finish and reproduction of detail.  Cem-FIL® 54 provides good mechanical performance and excellent durability to GRC composites. Cem-FIL® 54 is suitable for the fabrication of GRC in high humidity conditions.  Cem-FIL® 54 has been tested and approved for use with commonly used spray equipment. In the premix process, Cem-FIL® 61 is chopped into small strands with high abrasion resistance The fiber remains integral and this provides easy incorporation into the matrices and efficient workability Cem-FIL® 61’s new sizing technology reduces the water absorption of the fiber strand, allowing a reduction in the water content of thematrix, oran increase in the fiber content In the spray process,Cem-FIL® 61 has good splitefficiency and easy chopping with low fuzz generation. Cem-FIL® 61’s hydrophobic behaviour makes the mix fluid and that ensures good compaction and easy release of trapped air. Cem-FIL® 5325 has been particularly designed for the weaving of fabrics, meshes/nets, scrims, etc. Its surface coating (size) is compatible with cement-based matrices  Cem-FIL® 5325 rovings are particularly well suited to the needs of the market for the reinforcement of GRC (Glass Reinforced Cement) as well as screeds, mortars or renders
